I had to post a lot of shots from this family shoot and had a hard time narrowing them down. K is always prepared for her photo shoots with lots of props, suckers, drinks, accessories, etc. She outdid herself this time and actually sewed her dress and her little girl's dress! So cute! Even though little kids are not always cooperative she just goes with it and we come out with really great candid shots.

Such a fun shoot, even if we had to walk through dirt and itchy wheat (the tractor was actually mowing down the field as we were shooting!)

This cute couple already tied the knot (This is their engagement shoot from back in May of 2010)! They said that they were a little worried about their session because they were both awkward in front of the camera. I don't know what they were talking about. A good friend of mine is lucky enough to the proud mama of these sweet twin girlies. I haven't done too many twin shoots and at three months old these two were a little of a challenge. In the end we managed to get some pretty good shots of the two together.

This little guy was so happy to run around around in his boots and cowboy hat (I don't know if he even knew he was getting his picture taken). He kept me on my toes chasing him around his grandparent's property. His mom is using the prints from our cowboy photo shoot to decorate his big boy cowboy room. Cute idea!

A friend of mine asked the other day, "Are you still doing photography or are you just not updating your blog?" I guess I have neglected the blog for a while. I got caught up in the mad rush of photo shoots for the holiday season and never caught up. So I will be posting a lot of photos of past shoots soon!! I designed a bunch of super cute Christmas cards that I will share too! So to answer the question.... Yes, I am still doing photography and I will try to update a little more often. But one of my New Year's Resolutions is to get more sleep so that might be one thing that comes between me and the blog.

I think that you can tell... her parents adore her. This little gal was a gem to have in front of my camera. Her mom mentioned that she had fallen asleep on the car ride to the shoot and I thought "oh no, I am in for a cranky child", but to my surprise she was completely the opposite. This was the last session from my CA trip. These three sisters were the sweetest. You could tell that they loved each other so much. I love to witness the bond between siblings. The youngest of the three was not too happy about the idea of getting in front of the camera but we managed to get some sweet shots anyway.

These two were so fun to shoot! They were so natural in front of the camera, which made my job easy. As we were driving from one location to another I spotted a bunch of leaves on the ground in front of a church building.... we decided to stop and take some shots in the leaves and they ended up being some of my favorites! I love when you stumble on a great location... I drove by a couple days later and the leaves were all gone, I guess it was meant to be. Congrats S & C!

A little over three weeks after my baby girl was born, my sister-in-law had her little baby boy and I was able to take some pictures at the hospital. There is nothing better that a little newborn baby to photograph. He was so sweet.

Here is my little sweetie at two weeks old. She was so sleepy for the first month of her little life that it was pretty easy to get sleeping shots of her. Usually it is hard to get these after the first week. So for all of you moms out there... plan to book your newborn session during the first week after you baby is born, I love when they are still so tiny and wrinkly... and they are a lot easier to work with when they are in a deep sleep.

This little sweetie is why I took a five month break from Photography. She was so tiny weighing in at 5lbs. 5oz. These pictures were taken from our hotel room when she was only 3 days old. We feel so blessed to have this sweet little daughter of God as part of our family. We all adore her.
She is now 7 months old! Amazing how time flys. Hopefully I can get caught up on my photos and get some up to date pictures posted soon.

Happy New Year! I am back after a long four months off. I can't believe our baby girl is now over four months old. I have started taking pictures again but I am starting out slow. A while back I did these two love birds engagement session. They were so fun and giggly. They were such great sports as I drug them around to about four different locations. They were up for anything. It was a little warm outside but we all survived. They even treated me to a cold DP from QT on the way home. M & M were married in August (I am so sad that I missed their reception but that just happened to be the same day the our little baby girl was born). I think I am a little behind on posting. These are from Feb. when we went to visit my sister in California. I did one year old pictures for my sister and her friend's little girls. They were so fun to chase around for the morning. And I LOVE Pasadena. I could find new photo spots there for weeks. Here are some of my favorites.

If you zoom in on this one you can see her single tear rolling down her cheek. Every time my sister would walk away, Hallie would start to cry. She is one mama's girl.

And every time she put her down she wanted to be picked right back up. I love this one of her reaching for her mama.
